Siddharth Diwan was born in New Delhi, India. He did specialisation in Motion Picture Photography from Satyajit Ray Film & Tv Institute.
He started his career as a wildlife cinematographer but soon moved to Bombay. He worked his way up from being an electrician to grip and then camera assistant with renowned filmmakers like Wes Anderson, Tarsem Singh, Albert Brooks.
His first feature film as a cinematographer titled 'Peddlers' premiered at critique's week, Cannes Film Festival 2012, 'Titli' which premiered at Un Certain Regard, Cannes 2014, He was Additional Cinematographer on 'Lunchbox' which premiered at Cannes 2013.
Siddharth won Filmfare award for best cinematography for his work in the film Queen(2014).
